Vogue’s recent coverage of the extravagant wedding of Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz at her family’s sprawling Miami estate sent a very clear message: lavish weddings are back, in a BIG way.

Well, no offense to Miami or the Peltz-Beckhams, but no one does big like the Big D. After two years of (necessarily) scaled-down and delayed affairs, the engaged glitterati are ready to splash out. Here are some of the poshest places to hold your reception (or after-party, or day-after brunch!) in the Dallas area:

Dallas Country Club

Vibe: Dallas Royalty

For those looking for an elegant, traditional experience, the Dallas Country Club is the obvious choice. Beautiful weddings for the rich and famous are the bread and butter of this celebrated Dallas establishment. Founded in 1896, the property spans 117 acres and boasts incredible views of Turtle Creek and the Dallas Skyline. It is conveniently located in the Highland Park community, a well-known haunt for Dallas royalty.  

Famous clients: Dallas socialite and Pure Barre founder Kristin Kay Sanders and James Robert Hallam tied the knot here in 2021 as part of an extravagant three-day wedding celebration.

Park House

Vibe: Intimate Social Club

For a more intimate but stylish gathering, consider the Park House. A private social club with roots in New York’s famous Soho Club, Kristin Kay Sanders and James Robert Hallam held the first of their three receptions at this exquisite space. The venue offers plenty of indoor and outdoor locations and style options. 

Omni Dallas Hotel

Vibe: Nightlife Extravaganza

No event venue list would be complete without the ubiquitous Omni Dallas. The celebrated hotel in the heart of downtown is a luxe option for party people. Guests will love the convenient location and being close to all the action downtown Dallas has to offer.

Famous clients: Sara Lavi and Brock Webberman held their wedding here May 26, 2019, with the goal of their guests having the most fun they’d ever had. By all accounts, they succeeded!

The venue offers sumptuous spaces and decor, and is perfect for anyone looking to bring a healthy dose of East-meets-West glamor to their Dallas dream wedding. Prashe specializes in Southeast Asian-inspired interiors and decor, and the results are nothing short of magical. 

Famous clients: Real Housewives of Dallas star LeeAnne Locken famously wed her husband Rich Emberlin here on April 27, 2019. The $4 million dollar event culminated at the Showroom owned by Dallas-and-Houston-based designer Prashe Shah (and yes, LeAnne’s co-star on RHOD). 

The Joule Hotel

The Joule Hotel  on Main Street has quite a history: built in the 1920s, the neo-Gothic was originally home to Dallas National Bank. After falling into disrepair, it underwent decades of development and renovation before it finally re-opened in 2008 as the four star boutique Joule Hotel. 

Apart from being a symbol of Dallas history and its dedication to preserving local landmarks, the Joule is a perfect event location for those looking to highlight the cultural heritage of Dallas. As an added bonus, guests can stay at the hotel. 

Famous Clients: Gina Ginsburg, gem appraiser and  RHOD alum,  married  Grant Farmer here in  April 2019. The bride and groom pictured a modern fairy tale with plenty of artistic influence– the ceremony was “overseen” by the Joule’s famous 30 ft Eye sculpture!

The Ritz-Carlton Dallas

The Vibe: Legendary Luxury

Rounding out the list of wedding venues that consistently make the Dallas society pages is the perennially posh favorite, the Ritz-Carlton. Nothing says ritzy like, well: the Ritz! And it has earned its legendary status: it is the only Forbes Travel Guide Five Star hotel in Dallas, and has a 100 year pedigree under the Ritz-Carlton banner. 

Famous clients: Josh and Courtney Katz’s wedding was held here in November, 2018, with the bride and groom calling it “the fanciest frat party of all time.”
